Introduction to SPSS (face-to-face) In-Person
Dr Richard Freeman | One full-day session | Summer: 10:00 AM to 16:00 Thursday 9 June (Room G15 - DMS Watson Building)
NB: This course accrues 4 training points.
SPSS is a program for computer assisted quantitative data analysis. It is relatively easy to use and is the quantitative analysis software supported by the UCL Institute of Education. See link here (http://swdb.ucl.ac.uk/ ) to access the software to download onto your home computer (PC and Mac).
This face-to-face session is suitable for people with no previous knowledge of SPSS, but it requires some knowledge of quantitative analysis. In particular, participants need to be familiar with both descriptive and inferential statistics (e.g. chi-square, t test, correlation and regression). In this session, SPSS will be introduced with a focus on navigating the software, entering data correctly, producing tables and figures and some basic statistical tests.
