The CRT reading group invites you to take part in critical conversations on race, intersectionality and decolonisation in educational spaces. We offer a safe space for students in education to learn more about the CRT framework, and how it can be useful in the research process as well as enhancing professional roles as educational practitioners.
We will discuss the following key issues:

  • What is CRT and how can it be understood in education discourses and spaces
  • Understanding structural and endemic racism and white supremacy
  • Diverse methods of inquiry and the breadth of CRT scholarship
  • Understanding ‘race’, racism and settler colonialism
  • Exploring the use of Intersectionality
  • The role of praxis
