Conceptual and Theoretical Inquiry (face-to-face) In-Person

Professor Tom Woodin | Three two-hour sessions | Spring: 11:00 - 13:00 (UK time) Thursday 16, 23 January + 6 February  (Room 421-Nunn Hall in the IOE)

NB: This course accrues 2 training points.

This course is intended to support PhD students whose thesis consist wholly or largely of conceptual/theoretical research as opposed to the collection and analysis of empirical data.

The sessions will offer students an opportunity to engage with conceptual, historical and theoretical work on education in the arts and humanities. Our central approach is to look at the ways in which some key concepts have been analysed, interpreted and theorised from a range of disciplinary perspectives. You will also be encouraged to explore the historical, conceptual and theoretical dimensions of your own research.

For much more information, please see the course description page.
