Doing Narrative Analysis (data analysis workshop) (face-to-face) In-Person
Dr Sara Young | One one-and-a-half-hour session | Spring: 17:00 - 18:30 (UK time) Tuesday 27 January (Room 777 in the IOE)
NB: This course accrues 1 training point.
This session builds on the Autumn term Doing Narrative Analysis sessions and looks more closely at how narrative has been applied to projects in specific fields. While it is not necessary to have attended Session 1, this session assumes a familiarity with narrative research, and is aimed at those either intending to use or already using it in their doctoral project.
This session is designed for students to share anonymised data and discuss different frameworks that can be used. The workshop is open to anyone who has already collected data, either pre- or post-upgrade, including students at a later stage who are already bringing their analysis together, and also to students who are at the stage of data collection.
The session will consist of a lecture-style presentation in the first half, followed by a more interactive discussion, with an opportunity for students to discuss their own work.
Student do not need to have attended the previous spring term Doing Narrative Analysis seminars to enrol in this workshop.
