This short course provides a general introduction to historical research in education.  In the first session we examine the nature of historical research methods in education, including the use of documentary methods deploying sources such as archives.  In the second session we discuss changes in the field of the history of education in the UK and internationally, including the idea of revisionism and examples of this.
